There's an app for that! LOL...good luck Sonny. I used to be a cross country and track runner in high school and a little beyond before I finally had to give it up. My knees just couldn't handle it anymore. I've since moved on to mountain biking which is far easier on the knees. Let us all know which 5K you'll be doing at the end of 9 weeks and perhaps a few cachers can be there to either join you or cheer you on.
Hey Sonny! It's Jill from TotalNRG. I'm running, too! I started about a month ago when I decided to do a Triathlon in July. Being registered for the event is a HUGE motivator to keep fit. Some days I feel I'm totally ready, other days, not so much. I was psyched to finally start riding outside when temps got into the upper-50s. Good luck on your mission! - Jill
I'm just catching up on this but thought I'd add to those coming in late that I went to a running store, (there are a couple in Dallas, RunOn, Luke's Locker) and they watched me walk and looked at my feet and picked out shoes that were good for me and my arch and whether I pronate or not. I'll never buy cheap running shoes again. they really make a difference.
The Couch to 5K iPhone app is fantastic!!! I use it and love it. Good luck

Ah yes, I am indeed the rider of the now infamous purple mountain bike! Sadly, it has since been retired.
